Exposure to Asbestos has been found as a common occurrence among Veterans who served in specific fields with specific materials.  There are a number of different conditions that can result from Asbestos exposure.  Combining the condition with the location and field of the veteran allows many to claim presumptive eligibility for Asbestos Exposure

This is one of the few exposures that require a Nexus letter explaining the connection between your exposure to asbestos during military service and the illness or disability you suffer from today.   VA considers probable exposure with the following materials, in the following fields and with the following conditions:

Colorectal cancer
